Nancy McLean
SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA
Nancy McLean grew up in Sydney and is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Upon graduation she had a most rewarding career teaching Visual Art to all grade levels throughout the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board as well as summer sessions at CBU.
Nancy works with watercolor with subjects including her surroundings be it her ever changing garden or Cape Breton views. Her lastest works have been based on all inspiring trips to Italy and France. Nancy’s watercolors have been displayed in group shows in Nova Scotia, New York, and Scotland.
While a student at NSCAD , I had the opportunity to spend one summer working at the Fortress of Louisbourg’s Archaeology Department . Working in the ‘digs’, finding buried treasure everyday, was such a great experience and one of the resaons why I am drawn to the site time and time again.
